Cisco Learning Credits FAQ
What happens if my credits expire before I use them?
Expired credits usually aren't redeemable, and there's no guarantee Cisco will approve an extension. It's best to plan enrollment well before your expiration date.
What's the best way to use CLCs that are expiring on a short time frame?
Enroll in Cisco U. for on-demand training. The subscription gives your team access to on-demand training for up to a year, making it a fast way to put expiring credits to use.
Can multiple people from our team use the same CLC pool?
Yes, anyone in your organization can use credits from the shared pool, subject to your Team Captain's approval in LCMT.
Do unused CLCs roll over, or can we get more issued?
Unused credits don't roll over once they expire, any remaining balance is forfeited. If you need additional credits, they're purchased as a new order through Cisco or your Cisco account team, not added to the existing pool.
How far in advance should we enroll before credits expire?
Aim to enroll at least 30 days before your expiration date. This allows time for course seat availability, Team Captain approval in LCMT, and any private training scheduling if needed.
What if we don't have a Team Captain assigned, or don't know who it is?
Check with your Cisco account team or procurement contact, since they can confirm who holds this role or help assign one. Fast Lane can also help point you in the right direction if you're not sure where to start.
