Pré- requisitos

The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows:

  • Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP and associated TCP/IP applications, equivalent to those learned in Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1)
  • Operational knowledge of Cisco routers, equivalent to those learned in Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1)
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking technologies

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:

  • Explain the business value of WAN optimization and application acceleration technologies and understand the technologies employed by Cisco WAAS to enable consolidation while improving application performance over the WAN
  • Describe the basic configuration steps required for Cisco WAAS deployment and provide a high-level overview of Cisco WAAS deployment options
  • Describe Cisco WAAS implementation, integration, and management
  • Implement each of the Cisco WAAS application optimizers for maximum performance
  • Describe how to design and troubleshoot Cisco WAAS installations, including considerations and issues associated with platform and network connectivity, network interception, and WAN optimization
  • Describe and deploy the Cisco WAAS Mobile Client solution

Conteúdo do curso

Cisco Wide-Area Application Services (CWAAS) v2.0 is an instructor-led course presented by Cisco training partners. This course will teach learners how to design and deploy a solution using Cisco WAAS that improves application performance over the WAN while enabling infrastructure consolidation. The learner will also understand Cisco WAAS optimization technology, design considerations, network integration, and system troubleshooting aspects.

This course updates Cisco Wide-Area Application Services (WAAS) v4.0.13.

Module 1: Cisco Wide-Area Application Services Upon completing this module, the learner will be able to explain the business value of WAN optimization and application acceleration technologies and describe the technologies employed by Cisco WAAS to enable consolidation while improving application performance over the WAN.

Module 2: Cisco WAAS Quick Start Upon completing this module, the learner will be able to describe the basic configuration steps required for Cisco WAAS deployment and provide a high-level overview of Cisco WAAS deployment options.

  • Lesson 2: Installing and Configuring Cisco WAAS Using Quick Start

Module 3: Implementation, Integration, and Management Upon completing this module, the learner will be able to describe Cisco WAAS implementation, integration, and management.

  • Lesson 1: Network Design, Interception, and Interoperability
  • Lesson 2: Configuring Cisco WAE Interfaces
  • Lesson 3: Implementing Cisco WAAS Central Management
  • Lesson 4: Configuring Application Traffic Policies
  • Lesson 5: Configuring Virtualization

Module 4: Cisco WAAS Application Optimizers Upon completing this module, the learner will be able to implement each of the Cisco WAAS application optimizers for maximum performance.

  • Lesson 2: Configuring Cisco WAAS Network Printing Optimization
  • Lesson 3: Configuring NFS Optimization
  • Lesson 4: Configuring HTTP Optimization

  • Lesson 7: Understanding SSL Optimization

Module 5: Cisco WAAS Design and Troubleshooting Upon completing this module, the learner will be able to describe how to design and troubleshoot Cisco WAAS installations, including considerations and issues associated with platform and network connectivity, network interception, and WAN optimization.

  • Lesson 1: Planning a Cisco WAAS Network Design
  • Lesson 2: Troubleshooting Introduction
  • Lesson 3: Troubleshooting Network Interception

Module 6: Cisco WAAS Mobile Client Solution Upon completing this module, the learner will be able to describe and deploy the Cisco WAAS Mobile Client solution.
