The enhanced Arista certification program, launched June 1, 2025, is designed to validate real-world networking and automation skills through a modern, open-book evaluation process. With a four-tier structure and Learning Tracks featuring Operations and Engineering sub-tracks, the program ensures both individuals and organizations can demonstrate practical expertise in today’s most critical technology domains.

Certification Levels

The program is structured into four progressive levels of expertise:

  • Associate (Level 1) – Foundational certification, validating core concepts in the Foundations track.
  • Specialist (Level 3) – Focused knowledge in a sub-track such as Operations or Engineering.
  • Professional (Level 5) – Comprehensive mastery of an entire track, automatically awarded when both Specialist certifications (Operations & Engineering) are achieved.
  • Expert (Level 7) – The highest credential, demonstrating deep, specialized knowledge and the ability to lead and architect Arista solutions.

Learning Tracks

Each Learning Track provides a specialized focus and may include Operations and Engineering sub-tracks.

  • Foundations – Core concepts of Arista EOS and CloudVision (Associate Level 1).
  • Data Center – VXLAN/EVPN fabrics, cloud-scale design (Ops & Eng sub-tracks available).
  • Campus – Enterprise wired and wireless networks (planned).
  • Routing – Advanced routing architectures and protocols (planned).
  • Automation – Network automation with APIs, CloudVision, and EOS SDKs (planned).

Completing either Operations or Engineering grants Specialist (L3); completing both automatically awards Professional (L5).
