Who should attend

This seminar is aimed at IT Professionals who are or will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of a virtualized Microsoft Server infrastructure. Newcomers to Hyper-V are welcome, as are Hyper-V administrators who want to get to know the new features of the Windows Server 2016 Hyper-V and need a basic entry into the System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2016.

Prerequisites

Good knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, familiarity with basic Microsoft infrastructure services (TCP / IP supported networks, DNS, ADDS) should be in place. Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Failover Cluster and Windows Server 2016 is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Course Objectives

This hands-on workshop will give you an introduction to Hyper-V's functionality and an overview of features: What Hyper-V can do - what features does the product provide? Since the course is based on Hyper-V 2016 special emphasis is put on the presentation of the innovations of the Windows 2016 Hyper-V server. Many of the featured features can be tested in practice. Finally, in the Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2016 is introduced. It will be installed and configured to manage Hyper-V servers.

The learning focuses are the understanding of Hyper-V functions and functionality, as well as their practical implementation.
