The three-day Network Defense Essentials (NDE)
course provides comprehensive knowledge of the core areas of network security. Participants will learn the basics of access control, including techniques for identifying, authenticating and authorizing users. They will also gain an in-depth insight into security protocols and measures at administrative, physical and technical level.
In addition, the course deals with regulatory requirements, security guidelines and physical protection measures. You will learn how to secure virtualization and cloud environments and deepen your knowledge of wireless networks, mobile devices and IoT devices. Further content includes cryptography, public key infrastructure (PKI), data encryption and methods for monitoring network traffic. Through a combination of theoretical approaches and practical exercises, you will develop the ability to systematically protect networks and effectively manage security incidents.
