Intended candidate
Individuals with ~1 year of experience deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS
Prerequisites
The target candidate should have the following general IT knowledge and experience:
- Techniques for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
- Networking concepts (for example, DNS, TCP, IP, firewalls)
- Implementation of architectural requirements (for example, high availability, performance, capacity)
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language
- Familiarity with at least one major operating system
- Understanding of cloud computing
- Containerization and orchestration basics
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and Git

- The AWS Well-Architected Framework
- AWS storage and container solutions

- Format: 65 questions; either multiple choice or multiple response

Recertification
This certification is valid for 3 years. Before your certification expires, you can recertify by passing the latest version of this exam, or by earning the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, which will automatically recertify this Associate-level certification.
Individuals who already have the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate are not required to take the AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer - Associate exam. The AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification will remain valid for 3 years from the date it was earned.
